The oil palm industry in Kalimantan is facing increasing pressure to demonstrate environmental responsibility amid rising demands for sustainability. This study examines the extent to which environmental awareness, waste management, and palm oil processing technology influence the reputation of companies in the eyes of the public and stakeholders. Using a quantitative approach with 210 respondents from various companies, the findings indicate that these three variables significantly contribute to reputation perception. Environmental awareness has been shown to have a positive impact. Biodiversity conservation practices, emission reduction, and the implementation of sustainability principles not only help mitigate ecological impacts but also strengthen the company's image. Companies active in environmental reporting and public awareness campaigns show better reputations compared to passive ones. On the other hand, effective waste management, including the utilization of waste into energy, compost, or value-added products, also enhances public perception. Liquid and solid waste such as POME can be utilized through a circular economy approach, reducing environmental pressure while creating new economic value. However, the most influential factor in this study is the utilization of advanced palm oil processing technology. This technology not only increases efficiency and production yields but also significantly reduces emissions, energy consumption, and waste volume. These findings indicate that investment in technological innovation can be a strategic reputation strategy with direct impact. By integrating the three aspects of environmental awareness, waste management, and technology, companies can strengthen their position in the palm oil sector while meeting the sustainability expectations of the global market.
