Indonesia Palm Oil Strategic Studies (IPOSS) operates iposs.co.id. This page explains what data we collect, why, and your rights over it under Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022).
1. When you read
Reading iposs.co.id requires no account. To learn which articles are read, we record:
- Article views, share button presses, and clicks on download or data links.
- The country a visit comes from, read from our hosting provider's network. Your IP address is not stored in our database.
- A marker in your browser's session storage, so each article is counted once per session. It disappears when the tab is closed.
- Your light or dark theme choice, stored in your own browser.
- Aggregate visit statistics through Umami, a cookieless analytics tool that does not store IP addresses or identify you personally.
2. What we do not do
- We do not set advertising cookies or third-party trackers for readers.
- We do not sell, rent, or share reader data for anyone else's marketing.
3. Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, the email address and name you provide are used only to send IPOSS news and publication digests. The sign-up form is provided by Google (Reader Revenue Manager), so that data is also processed by Google under its privacy policy.
You can unsubscribe at any time through the link in every email or by contacting us.
4. Browser notifications
If you click "Allow" on the notification prompt, your browser creates a subscription token, stored by our notification provider so new articles can be sent to your device. The token contains neither your name nor your email.
You can turn notifications off at any time in your browser's site settings.
5. Who processes data
The data.iposs.co.id portal has its own user accounts and is governed by the terms shown when registering there.
- Vercel, our hosting provider.
- Supabase, our database and file storage provider.
- Umami, our visit statistics provider.
- Google, for the newsletter form and search services.
- Our browser notification provider, if you enable notifications.
6. Your rights
You may request a copy, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and withdraw your subscription consent. Send requests to the email address below; we respond within 3 x 24 hours on working days.
7. Changes
If the way we collect data changes, this page is updated and its effective date revised.
